Southern Highlands

An exciting new cool-climate region, the Southern Highlands region surrounds Mittagong and Bowral and is gaining much attention for its Pinot Noir. This region came to fruition in the 1990s when wine growers became interested in the region and the advantages of high altitude vineyards in which Pinot Noir, in particular, excels.

There are now more than 60 vineyards in the Southern Highlands with over 350 hectares under cultivation with increasing grafting to Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.
