Free On-Premise Workshops

As part of the MoU support package from the NSW State Government, we would like to invite you to a free workshop that will assist NSW wine businesses become stronger in the NSW On-Premise channel.

The workshops will start in Canberra on 4th July and Orange on 5th July. Further workshops will also be held in Mudgee on 21st July and the Hunter Valley on 3rd August (more to follow on the latter two workshops in the next newsletter).

The workshops will be facilitated by Peter McAtamney from Wine Business Solutions, who is a leading expert in this area.

Background

In late 2021/early 2022, NSW Wine commissioned Wine Business Solution to make a thorough investigation into the position of wines from NSW in the NSW/ACT On-Premise.

This research had two key components.

1. A Quantitative interrogation of 10 years of WBS’s On-Premise Research Data 2. A Qualitative assessment whereby WBS asked 21 key industry opinion leaders for their thoughts about NSW wines, including wines from specific regions, in terms of how they viewed them and how to improve sales, distribution and promotion.
