Weather as a Service

Weather as a Service (Waas) is a pilot disease alert and virtual weather station dashboard. Utilising public data sources it provides growers across the state with botrytis, downy mildew and powdery mildew alerts as well as three day weather forecasts and observations. Weather data is at a resolution of 90m compared to 5km for other publicly available forecasts. WaaS has been co-developed with funding from NSW Wine, Wine Australia, Riverina Winegrape Growers and Food Innovation Australia.

WaaS feedback

Weather as a Service is in its pilot stage. Ongoing feedback is important to refining the platform, identifying aspects that can be improved on and ensuring our virtual weather stations are in the locations that best help growers.
